May 2022 has come to an end which means it is time for our monthly new hotel roundups! In this month, there are five new boutique and luxury hotels around the globe that we will be sharing with our readers.
Rock House
Rock house, developed and operated by Grace Bay Resorts which owns two other luxury resorts on the Turks and Caicos Islands, opened on 1 May 2022.
Location
The resort is located on the north coast of Providenciales and is perched on limestone cliffs with sweeping views of the ocean. Being a beach resort, guests can take part in water activities such as snorkeling and kayaking, or simply relax on the private beach that is within the resort’s grounds.
The nearest airport from the resort is Providenciales International Airport (PLS) which is a ten minute drive away.

Rock House has three dining venues, consisting of one restaurant, Beach Club, and two bars, Sunset Bar and Cave Bar.

Vista Palazzo Verona
Opened on 9 May 2022, Vista Palazzo Verona is a luxury boutique hotel that is housed in a nineteen-century residence in Verona, best known as the setting for Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet. The hotel is managed by Lario Hotels which counts Vista Palazzo Lago di Como as one of the other luxury boutique hotel in its portfolio.
Location
Located close to the Adige river, the hotel is close to many attractions in the city, which include the Arena di Verona, La Casa di Giulietta, and Piazza delle Erbe just to name a few. Vista Palazzo Verona is also close to many retail outlets and restaurants, making it a good base to explore the city.
The nearest airport from the hotel is Verona Villafranca Airport (VRN) which is a twenty minute drive away.

Vista Palazzo Verona has a restaurant and a bar. Sottovoce showcases Italian cuisine using local products and has a 360-degree view of the city alongside Infinity Bar.

JW Marriott Hotel Istanbul Marmara Sea
The second JW Marriott hotel in Istanbul after JW Marriott Istanbul Bosphorus, JW Marriott Hotel Istanbul Marmara Sea opened its doors on 11 May 2022.
Location
JW Marriott Hotel Istanbul Marmara Sea is situated in the western suburbs of Istanbul, by the Marmara sea. As the hotel is not in the old city of Istanbul, it is quite a distance from the major attractions in Istanbul. Having said that, the hotel is close to several malls as well as the Istanbul Aquarium and might make a good option for repeat visitors who wants to see another part of the city.
Istanbul Airport (IST) is the nearest airport from the hotel and is a forty minute drive away.

Having opened on 16 May 2022, Alila Kothaifaru Maldives marks the return of the Alila brand in the Maldives.
Location
Alila Kothaifaru Maldives is located on a private island in Raa Atoll, which is a 45 minutes seaplane ride northwest of the capital Malé. Besides participating in water sports and relaxing on the beach, guests can also go on excursions to Hanifaru Bay UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve or witness the Seas of Stars phenomenon at the nearby Vaadhoo island, should one be feeling adventurous.

Alila Kothaifaru Maldives has two restaurants and a bar. Seasalt is the resort’s all-day dining venue and serves its signature salt-baked fish dishes and other light dishes outside of breakfast hours. The resort has an infinity pool, a fitness centre, yoga spaces, a kids club, a library as well as a spa on site.

JW Marriott Hotel Changsha
Debuting in the historical and cultural city of Changsha, the capital and largest city of Hunan province, JW Marriott Hotel Changsha welcomed its first guests on 23 May 2022.
Location
JW Marriott Hotel Changsha is located in a skyscraper that is in the southeast of Changsha. Being close to the metro, a number of the city’s attractions such as Dufu River Pavilion and Taiping Ancient Street is within easy reach.
The closest metro station from the hotel is Tujiachong metro station on line 1.
