Today is the last day of the month and time for our monthly new hotel roundups! Unfortunately, a number of luxury hotels that were expected to be opened this month were delayed with only a handful opening as expected. Nonetheless, there are four new boutique and luxury hotels around the globe that we will be sharing for March 2022.
Four Seasons Fort Lauderdale
Opened on 3 March 2022, Four Seasons Hotel Fort Lauderdale is the fifth Four Seasons property in Florida, after Four Seasons Hotel Miami, Four Seasons Hotel Miami Beaches, Surfside, Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach, and Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World Resort.
Location
Four Seasons Fort Lauderdale is on the beachfront of the popular Fort Lauderdale Beach, which makes it a great option for visitors who are in town for the beach and water sports. A ten minutes drive away from Downtown Fort Lauderdale also means that a couple of attractions, numerous retail outlets, and restaurants are within easy reach. In addition, Port Everglades is a fifteen minutes drive from the hotel which makes it a convenient option for a pre or post-cruise stay.
The closest airport, Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) is about a 30 minute drive away.

Accessible rooms are available for Lauderdale View, Intracoastal Water View, and Prime Ocean View rooms, and Ocean View Suite.
Restaurants and Facilities
Four Seasons Fort Lauderdale houses three dining establishments, consisting of two restaurants (one of which is yet to open), and a lounge. Evelyn’s Fort Lauderdale is the hotel’s all-day dining restaurant and features Florida cuisine with Mediterranean flavour outside breakfast hours. Honey Fitz Pizza is an all-day lounge, offering pastries, salads, and snacks.
The hotel has two outdoor pools on the sun deck, a 24-hour fitness centre, a spa with six treatment rooms including a couples’ suite, and a dedicated area for guests at Fort Lauderdale Beach.

Andaz Prague
Housed in the iconic Sugar Palace in Prague, Andaz Prague opened its doors on 2 March 2022. This marks the debut of a Hyatt property in Czech Republic.
Location
Located on Senovážné Square in the heart of the city, Andaz Prague is a short walk away from several attractions, such as the National Museum, Old Town Square and the Astronomical Clock, The Church of Our Lady before Týn, and the Jewish quarter. Adding to the convenience, the hotel is only a seven minutes walk from Prague Main Station, making it easy to travel for day trips outside Prague.
The closest metro is Hlavní nádraží and Náměstí Republiky station.

Restaurants and Facilities
Andaz Prague has a restaurant and a bar. ZEM is the hotel’s all-day dining restaurant and showcases modern versions of Czech comfort food as well as Japanese Izakaya food. MEZ bar serves up various cocktails for guests to enjoy.
The hotel does not have a pool but does have a 24-hour fitness centre. Also part of the facilities is the Andaz Lounge which offers daily refreshments and local snacks and is accessible to all guests.

Andaz Prague is a World of Hyatt participating property with a standard room award starting from 21,000 points a night.
The Madrid Edition
The second EDITION property in Spain after The Barcelona EDITION, The Madrid EDITION has opened in preview as of March 2022.
Location
The Madrid EDITION is located in the heart of Madrid, near Puerta de Sol. In addition to being close to a great number of restaurants and retail options, the hotel is within walking distance to attractions including the Plaza Mayor, Teatro Real, Royal Palace of Madrid, and Catedral de la Almudena.
Sol station is the closest metro station from the hotel.

Restaurants and Facilities
There are two restaurants and two bars (Punch Room and Lobby Bar) at The Madrid EDITION. Open for lunch and dinner, Oroya is helmed by Peruvian Chef Diego Muñoz, and serves a tapas menu with family-style sharing plates. The hotel’s all-day dining restaurant, Jerónimo offers Mexican cuisine and is helmed by chef Enrique Olvera.
Facilities wise, The Madrid EDITION has an outdoor urban pool with panoramic views of Madrid, a 24-hour fitness centre, and a spa with five treatment rooms.

Unfortunately, since 29 March 2022, Marriott no longer has a fixed award chart which means that award redemption rates are no longer bound by hotel categories. We did a quick search and found that 70,000 points per night is the lowest redemption rate.
JW Marriott Bengaluru Prestige Golfshire Resort & Spa
Nestled in the 275-acre Prestige Golfshire course, JW Marriott Bengaluru Prestige Golfshire Resort & Spa opened its doors on 7 March 2022.
Location
Situated within the Nandi Hills region of Bengaluru, guests can opt for some trekking at Nandi Hills or a golf game while at the resort. Sights nearby include the Devanahalli Fort and guests can choose to visit Bengaluru, which is an hour’s drive away.
The closest airport, Kempegowda International Airport Bengaluru (BLR) is about a 35 minute drive away.

JW Marriott Bengaluru Prestige Golfshire Resort & Spa has three restaurants and a deli named Truffle & Co, a coffee house, and a pool bar within its premises. The Aviary is the hotel’s all-day dining restaurant and offers an international menu outside breakfast hours. Aaleeshan is an Indian restaurant while EAST serves Asian fusion cuisine, offering Korean, Japanese, and Chinese food.
The hotel has an outdoor lap pool and a flamingo pool. There is a fitness centre, a kids club as well as a 20,000 square feet spa on site.

As mentioned earlier, Marriott no longer has a fixed award chart since two days ago. However, when we did a search, award redemption seem to cost 30,000 points a night regardless of the dates so this is a point to take note of if you are looking at making a redemption.
