It is now the end of May which is time for our monthly new hotel roundups! In this month, there are four new boutique and luxury hotels around the globe that we will be sharing with our readers.
JW Marriott Clearwater Beach Resort & Spa
JW Marriott Clearwater Beach Resort & Spa welcomed its first guests on 1 May 2023.
Location
The resort is a waterfront property located on Clearwater beach and offers its guests sweeping views of the Gulf of Mexico in addition to a secluded beachfront. Attractions near the resort includes Clearwater Marine Aquarium, and Sand Key park. The property is about an hour’s drive to both Tampa and St. Petersburg, Florida.
The nearest airport from the resort is Tampa International Airport (TPA) which is a forty-five minutes’ drive away.

JW Marriott Clearwater Beach Resort & Spa has four dining establishments. Latitude 28 is the resort’s all-day dining restaurant and serves Mediterranean cuisine outside breakfast hours. The Deep End is a rooftop poolside dining venue while JW Market is a café and shop. Eskape – Beach Bar & Grille is a waterfront restaurant serving local cuisine.
Facilities at JW Marriott Clearwater Beach Resort & Spa include an outdoor pool, a 24 hours fitness center, and a spa.

The St. Regis Chicago
Debuting on 18 May 2023, The St. Regis Chicago is housed in the third tallest building in the city, and is the first St. Regis branded hotel to open in Chicago.
Location
Located by the Chicago River, the hotel is close to many attractions in the city, which include The Art Institute of Chicago, Millennium Park, and Navy Pier. Being in the central business district of the city also means that there is no shortage of food options around the property, which makes it a good base to explore the city.
The nearest metro station from the hotel is Lake station which is a fifteen minutes’ walk away.

The St. Regis Chicago has two restaurants onsite. Miru is a Japanese restaurant while Tre Dita, which will be opening in late 2023 is an Italian restaurant helmed by Chef Evan Funke.
The hotel has an indoor heated pool, a 24 hours Athletic Club, and a spa.

Grand Hyatt La Manga Club Golf & Spa
Opening on 15 May 2023, Grand Hyatt La Manga Club Golf & Spa marks the debut of the Grand Hyatt brand in Spain.
Location
Situated in the La Manga Club, which is known to be a sports and holiday resort, Grand Hyatt La Manga Club Golf & Spa’s guests have access to numerous sports facilities, from golf courses, to football fields and tennis courts, just to name a few. The property is also near the city of Murcia and Cartagena, which is home to several attractions, making the cities good options for a day trip.
Región de Murcia International Airport (RMU) is the nearest airport from the resort and is a forty-minute drive away.

The resort has eleven restaurants and bars and these include Amapola Gastronomic restaurant, which serves dishes prepared using local produce; Grand Buffet, the resort’s all day dining restaurant, and Don Luigi Trattoria, an Italian restaurant. Other dining venues include Asia, which offers Southeast Asian cuisine; Hatsune, a Japanese restaurant; bars La Cascada, The Last Green and 37 Spikes & Sports Bar; La Cala restaurant, which features seafood; La Cala Beach Club, and Sol y Sombra, a poolside restaurant.
Facilities wise, Grand Hyatt La Manga Club Golf & Spa has three pools, which includes a family pool, a kids pool, and an adults only infinity pool; a fitness centre, and a spa. There is also a Grand Hyatt club lounge that offers breakfast, drinks, and snacks for suites and club room guests as well as Hyatt Globalist members.

Grand Hyatt La Manga Club Golf & Spa is a World of Hyatt participating property with a standard room award starting from 15,000 points a night (Category 4).
InterContinental Rome Ambasciatori Palace
Housed in a more than 100 year old building that opened as the Ambasciatori Palace Hotel in 1905, and then subsequently served as the home of the US Embassy Library from 1946 to 1993, InterContinental Rome Ambasciatori Palace opened on 15 May 2023.
Location
InterContinental Rome Ambasciatori Palace is located on Via Veneto, one of Rome’s most famous streets, and the property is within easy reach of numerous restaurants and bars. A number of the eternal city’s attractions, such as Fontana di Trevi, Piazza di Spagna, and Via dei Condotti are all within walking distance from the property.
Barberini station is the nearest metro station from the hotel and is a five minutes’ walk away.

InterContinental Rome Ambasciatori Palace has a restaurant and two bars. Scarpetta NYC is the hotel’s all-day dining venue and features Italian and New York City food. Charlie’s Rooftop and Anita Lounge & bar are the hotel’s bars.
The hotel has a fitness room as well as a spa on site.

IHG now uses dynamic pricing and thus award redemption mirrors the revenue rates closely. We did a quick search and it seems that 97,000 points per night is the lowest redemption rate we can find.
