In this month’s new hotel round ups, we will be sharing with our readers five new boutique and luxury hotels that have opened around the globe in July 2022.
Conrad Los Angeles
Housed in the Frank Gehry designed The Grand LA, Conrad Los Angeles debuted in the City of Angels on 6th July 2022 to much anticipation.
Location
Located at the heart of downtown Los Angeles, the hotel is close to a number of the city’s attractions, with Walt Disney Concert Hall just across the street, and Angels Flight Railway, Grand Central Market, The Broad, and The Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles just around the corner.
The closest metro station from the hotel is Civic Ctr / Grand Park Station on both the red and purple lines.

Restaurants and Facilities
Conrad Los Angeles has five dining venues; San Laurel, which is the hotel’s all-day dining restaurant, features Spanish cuisine outside breakfast hours; Agua Viva is a rooftop restaurant that offers a Latin-Asian fusion menu while Airlight, The Beaudry Room, and SED are the hotel’s bars.

Formerly the Toronto Marriott Bloor/Yorkville, W Toronto opened after an extensive three-year renovation on 21 July 2022. The property is the second W hotel in Canada, after W Montreal.
Location
W Toronto is situated in Central Toronto, Yorkville which is where the city’s upscale shopping district is located. Luxury boutiques such as Burberry, Prada, and Gucci as well as restaurants, cafes, and bars can be found within the vicinity of the hotel. Royal Ontario Museum and Mink Mile are some of the attractions within walking distance of the property.
The closest metro station from the hotel is Bloor-Yonge Station on both the yellow and green lines.

W Toronto has a restaurant, a coffeehouse, and a lobby lounge. Public School is the hotel’s coffeehouse which doubles up as the property’s all-day dining venue and bar. Skylight is a rooftop restaurant that serves Mediterranean cuisine and is open only for dinner. Living Room is a lobby lounge that offers Toronto tapas as well as spirits and sparkling wine.
The hotel has a 3,300 square feet (307 sqm) fitness centre named FIT.

The Ritz-Carlton New York, NoMad
The newly constructed Ritz-Carlton New York, NoMad opened on 26 July 2022 in The Big Apple and is Ritz-Carlton’s second hotel in New York City, after The Ritz-Carlton New York, Central Park.
Location
On the corner of Broadway and W 28th Street, the property’s prime location makes it an excellent base to explore New York City, with landmarks such as Empire State Building and Flatiron Building a short walk away, numerous restaurants and bars surrounding the hotel, and a range of retail options just two blocks away at Fifth Avenue.
The closest metro station is 28th Street Station, which is at the hotel’s doorstep.

The Ritz-Carlton New York, NoMad has one restaurant, with another to open in late fall of 2022. Zaytinya, the hotel’s all-day dining venue, serves up a Mediterranean menu, with Turkish, Greek, and Lebanese cuisines all on offer.
The Ritz-Carlton Club lounge on the 36th floor offers a variety of culinary offerings throughout the day and can be accessed by club room and club suite guests.
There is a 24-hour fitness centre, and a 6,800 square feet (632 sqm) spa with eight treatment rooms, steam room, sauna, and private lounges in the hotel.

Park Hyatt Jakarta
The first hotel under the Park Hyatt Brand in Indonesia, Park Hyatt Jakarta welcomed its first guest on 8 July 2022.
Location
Park Hyatt Jakarta is located in the heart of Central Jakarta, the commercial and business district of the city. There are several malls that are a short drive from the hotel which offer a variety of retail and dining options. One of the city’s landmarks, the National Monument (Monas) is close by and guests who are interested in the history of the country can visit the Museum Nasional Indonesia, located beside Monas.
Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (CGK) is the nearest airport to the hotel and is a thirty-minute drive away.

There are five dining options on the hotel’s premises. Dining Room serves both Indonesian and Italian cuisines and is the property’s all-day dining restaurant. Facilities at Park Hyatt Jakarta include an outdoor pool, a 24-hour fitness centre, and a spa.

The Fullerton Ocean Park Hotel Hong Kong
Debuting in Hong Kong on 18 July 2022, The Fullerton Ocean Park Hotel Hong Kong is the 4th Fullerton branded property worldwide, after The Fullerton Hotel Singapore, The Fullerton Bay Hotel Singapore, and The Fullerton Hotel Sydney.
Location
The Fullerton Ocean Park Hotel Hong Kong is in the southern part of Hong Kong Island, in the Aberdeen area. Despite its relatively remote location, the hotel is beside Ocean Park Hong Kong and Water World Ocean Park with direct access to the parks, both of which are theme parks that are popular with the locals.
The closest metro station is Ocean Park Station, which as its name suggests, is located at the entrance of the theme parks.

There are four dining establishments in The Fullerton Ocean Park Hotel Hong Kong. Satay Inn, the hotel’s all-day dining restaurant showcases Singapore cuisine. Jade is a Cantonese restaurant while Lighthouse café has international options. Lighthouse Lounge is the hotel’s afternoon tea venue and serves cocktails as well.
Being a family friendly hotel, the property has an outdoor Infinity pool, a kids lagoon, an indoor kids pool, a gym, as well as a spa.
