We have now come to the end of 2022 and in our last new hotel round up of the year, we will be sharing with our readers five new boutique and luxury hotels that have opened around the globe in December 2022.
Naviva, A Four Seasons Resort, Punta Mita, Mexico
Nestled in the forest overlooking the Pacific Ocean, Naviva, A Four Seasons Resort, Punta Mita, Mexico opened on 1 December 2022 and is the sister property of Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita, which is a 5 minutes drive away.
Location
Located in Punta Mita on a private peninsula, the adults-only resort comes in the form of luxury tents and is surrounded by 19 hectares of forest. The resort offers several signature experiences to keep guests occupied and these include the House of Heat, which is a traditional temazcal designed for the resort with ceremonies that explore areas of focus; Boocaros Mexicana art immersion, free diving breathwork, and a stargazing safari, to name a few.
Puerto Vallarta International Airport (PVR) is the nearest airport to the resort and is a fifty-minute drive away.

Conrad Rabat Arzana
A waterfront property along the Atlantic coast, Conrad Rabat Arzana opened on 12 December 2022 and marks the debut of the Conrad brand in Morocco.
Location
Situated in Temara, a coastal city that is near Rabat, the capital of Morocco, the resort is beside a water park and near the beaches, offering great views of the ocean. Attractions in Rabat such as Hassan Tower, and Old Medina are about a thirty minutes drive away.
The closest airport to the resort is Rabat – Salé Airport (RBA) which is about fifty minutes by car.

Conrad Rabat Arzana has four dining venues. La Brise is the resort’s all-day dining restaurant and features Moroccan and Petite Maison cuisine. 99 Sushi Bar & Restaurant is a Japanese restaurant that is part of a Spanish chain. Feuilage Tea Lounge offers afternoon tea as well as drinks in the evening while L’Oursin is the resort’s pool bar.

Emerald Zanzibar Resort & Spa
The first property to open under the Emerald Collection outside The Maldives, Emerald Zanzibar Resort & Spa opened its doors on 1 December 2022. The Emerald Collection is an Italian-owned resort chain and counts Emerald Maldives Resort & Spa and Emerald Faarufushi Resort & Spa as the other properties in its portfolio.
Location
Emerald Zanzibar Resort & Spa is located in the northeast of Zanzibar and overlooks Muyuni beach. The resort offers white sandy beaches and direct access to the sea, which makes it a great choice for diving and water sports activities.
Abeid Amani Karume International Airport (ZNZ) is the nearest airport to the resort and is an hour and fifteen-minute drive away.

Welcoming its first guests on 8 December 2022, The Chedi El Gouna is the first property under GHM Luxury Hotels & Resorts in Egypt.

The St. Regis Jakarta
The St. Regis Jakarta debuted in the Indonesian capital on 3 December 2022 and is the first St. Regis branded property in the city, and the second St. Regis property in the country after The St. Regis Bali.
Location
The property is situated in the golden triangle of Jakarta, which is where the city’s CBD is located. Due to its central location, the hotel is close to many malls and is a twenty-five minutes drive to major attractions such as the National Monument and the Museum Nasional Indonesia.
The closest metro station from the hotel is Dukuh Atas BNI station, about a twenty-minute walk away.
